The Institute organizes frequent field trips to hotels, conferences and fairs. Students are guided through the premises of the organization or the Fair, they are briefed about the organization’s operation, and they attend workshops and seminars and develop their personal contacts with industry executives.

Internships are an integral part in the learning process for the Hospitality students, offering different experiences and direct access to employment. Students are well prepared by the School’s staff before they go on placement and are usually positioned in 4-5 star Hotels
Hospitality and especially Culinary Arts students have the opportunity to participate in different competitions organized either by Shine Institute of Hotel Management & Tourism or other institutions. Participation can be either individual or in teams. Irrespective of the result, participation in competitions provides students with an invaluable experience and creates opportunities for networking.
Shine Institute of Hotel Management & Tourism students also have the opportunity to present their projects in the Annual Student Excellence Conference, organized by Shine. Postgraduate students are encouraged to publish their research outputs in national or international academic conferences.
